Cleaning gutters is a dangerous, and dirty job. Leave this for the professionals, so you don’t risk injury. We remove all debris by hand, putting all debris into buckets to haul off with us. We use Stabilizer Bars at the top of our ladders which touches the roof, and keeps our ladders off the gutters to protect them. It is imperative that gutters are maintained regularly; when gutters get full, and down spouts are clogged, they will fill with water. This is bad in 2 ways…. The first is that the gutters can get full of water (when down spouts are clogged) and they become heavy. Thus leaving the “heavy” gutter kinda pulling away from the fascia <over time>. The 2nd is if one downs spout is clogged, and another one is not, it is NOT flowing properly and can cause more damage in the yard as the down spouts and underground drainage system for gutters are ran a certain way for a reason. If water is flooding or pooling up in a corner of a house because the other downspout are clogged, that pool of water can cause foundations to crack over time, and that threat can cause basements to leak from a cracked foundation.
